Jana wins best student paper award!

Congratulations, Jana!

She has just been awarded the best student paper in MBE by the Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution! Her paper on how gene loss can sometimes even lead to an increase in fitness and follows predictable patterns stems from work performed during her PhD at the labs of Rob Jelier and Kevin Verstrepen at KU Leuven.
